The Limiting Beliefs Keeping You from Experiencing Pleasure (and why Feel Good Club can help)

While I love my private coaching clients, I know how transformative work can be when we are in a group. The Feel Good Club invites my clients in NYC to commit to their pleasure and root their practice in meaning. Through repetition and purpose, you create a solid foundation for growth in any area of your life. This is a general group that can support you with any dream you want to create. Bring your softest, quietest desires—or your loud, extravagant goals. We are here for it.

Limiting Belief #1: If I just commit myself, I will be rewarded at the end.

When I first started my sex coaching business, I was working to help clients 1x1 have better sex and consequently, better lives. In those early days I required a 12 week commitment minimum. I was so dead set on getting my clients actual results and I knew it would never happen if they just did drop in hours.

But here’s where this belief gets tricky: there is no “end” to commitment. That’s the whole point. Repetition is a bit of an oxymoron because you might move through the same sun salutations, run the same loop, have sex with the same person - but no single moment is repeated. Each cycle reveals something else. You are a new person every time you get no your mat, put on your shoes, or take off your clothes. Commitment is how you feel the change.

Limiting Belief #2: If it doesn’t feel good, maybe I’m not meant to do it.

Another version: I’m mad at him, maybe he’s not the one.

But Sarah, your whole shtick is about feeling good.
Yes, when I teach people to have a relationship to pleasure that includes a lot of stuff that feels good of course. But as you move beyond the exoteric teaching of “go after what feels good,” you’re introduced to the esoteric truth: pleasure runs deeper than good. You could also use the word “authentic” or “aligned”. This work is about moving from mental, to physical, to spiritual.
So, back to the limiting belief, no one can tell you what you’re meant to do. You give your life and actions meaning. Spirit is at the intersection of pleasure and meaning.
